Job Summary
Leading state government relations strategy, the full-time remote Vice President, State Government Affairs will manage legislative and regulatory engagement, protect business interests, and support long-term growth while advising executive leadership on public policy developments.
Key responsibilities
- Execute RGA's state government relations strategy in alignment with enterprise objectives and risk management priorities
- Represent RGA at legislative hearings and regulatory meetings, including NAIC national meetings
- Advise executive leadership on state public policy developments and recommend proactive mitigation strategies for emerging risks
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in government relations, legislative affairs, public policy, or regulatory engagement
- Significant experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably insurance or financial services
- Knowledge of state insurance regulation and the legislative process
- Demonstrated ability to influence legislative or regulatory outcomes and provide strategic counsel to senior leaders
