State Licensed Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and motivated, the remote Accounts Payable Specialist I will manage state surplus lines tax filings, maintain accurate financial records, and resolve client credits and refunds while supporting compliance with state regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete state surplus lines tax filings, reports, and payments accurately and in a timely manner
• Reconcile client invoices, billing reports, and related financial records
• Research and resolve client credits, refunds, and payment discrepancies

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience in the surplus lines or insurance industry preferred
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and Adobe applications
• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software preferred
