State Licensed Actuary Director

Job Summary

Leading Corporate Actuarial functions, the full-time remote State Licensed Actuary Director will manage a team of actuaries responsible for actuarial analyses in reserving, reinsurance, pricing, and analytics, while enhancing enterprise risk management capabilities and developing financial forecasts for senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Guide team members in developing loss trends storylines and manage regular reporting deliverables
• Produce high-quality predictive tools and monitor business portfolio KPIs to inform senior management
• Support, mentor, and coach team members while managing hiring needs and performance improvement plans

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 10+ years of progressive insurance Actuarial experience required
• Fellow of Casualty Actuarial Society
• 6+ years of people leadership experience
• Experience with SnowFlake, SQL, Python, and other programming languages is a plus
