State Licensed Advisory Services Manager

Job Summary

Managing advisory engagements and special studies for government and public agencies, the full-time State Licensed Advisory Services Manager will oversee financial and operational issues, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee advisory engagements and manage a team performing assessments of processes and internal controls to provide recommendations for improvements
• Ensure compliance with cyclical accounting and financial reporting objectives, including reconciliations and budget analysis
• Establish and maintain effective client relationships while participating in business development and community organizations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of experience in the government industry
• Strong preference for experience with drafting the State's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)
• Valid Certified Public Accountant license preferred
• Previous supervisory experience and advanced knowledge of government industry accounting principles
