State Licensed Assistant General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant General Counsel to support its commercial auto business and manage a team of state attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the commercial auto business and manage a team of state attorneys
• Collaborate with the commercial auto research & development team and product managers on product design and implementation
• Handle national-level product work and model upgrades while overseeing state-level product design

Required Qualifications

• Juris doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM) with a minimum of 8 years of post-degree legal practice experience
• Active license to practice law in at least one state
• Experience with auto product design is preferred
• Commercial lines or personal lines experience is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership experience in people management and/or project management is preferred
