State Licensed Assistant General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant General Counsel-Value Based Care Contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft agreements and contracts, including vendor contracts and client agreements
• Provide counsel on legal and compliance issues, particularly in healthcare regulations
• Collaborate with senior executives on strategic initiatives and escalate important legal issues as needed

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law
• Managed care experience, particularly in negotiating value-based care agreements (1-2 years required)
• General knowledge of healthcare regulatory law, including HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid obligations
• Strong negotiating skills related to legal and financial/commercial issues
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization
