State Licensed Assistant General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an AVP, Assistant General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on practice operations and transactions
• Develop and maintain client relationships to identify legal risks and collaboratively develop solutions
• Draft and negotiate contracts, manage outside counsel, and advise on corporate governance documents

Required Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law and a member in good standing of a state bar
• 6+ years of corporate/transactional/operations experience, preferably in health care services
• Strong understanding of legal and business factors related to health care services
• Strategic thinking skills with awareness of legal risks in a business context
