State Licensed Assistant General Counsel

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated and business-oriented State Licensed Assistant General Counsel, this full-time remote position will manage legal support for the development, launch, and operation of innovative fintech products, advising on commercial contracts and regulatory issues while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise product and business teams on the design, launch, and operation of fintech and payments products
• Provide practical legal guidance on commercial, regulatory, and corporate matters across various business units
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, while monitoring relevant legal and regulatory developments

Required Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active membership in good standing in at least one state bar
• 5-8 years of legal experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house practice
• Experience advising fintech, payments, banking, or technology companies on product and regulatory matters
• Familiarity with consumer financial services laws and regulations, including UDAAP and privacy requirements
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently while balancing legal risk with business objectives
