Job Summary
Providing broad-based legal counsel, the full-time salaried State Licensed Assistant General Counsel will manage commercial agreements, litigation, compliance, and M&A activities while working remotely in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements and advise on contract risk
- Provide day-to-day legal guidance to various business units and manage outside counsel engagements
- Support M&A transactions and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
- Minimum 6 years of legal experience, with a mix of law firm and in-house counsel experience
- Demonstrated experience in commercial contracting with global companies and compliance programs
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, regulatory compliance, and risk management principles
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight
