Leading Kraken's product partnership commercial legal efforts, the full-time State Licensed Assistant General Counsel will manage complex commercial arrangements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and advise on legal matters related to innovative product initiatives in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the lead commercial counsel for high-visibility product partnerships, driving legal strategy and execution
- Act as a strategic partner to various teams, designing legally sound go-to-market structures and partnership models
- Oversee the development of legal templates, risk management frameworks, and support contract lifecycle management
Required qualifications
- J.D. or equivalent legal degree and active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
- 8+ years of commercial legal experience, with a mix of top-tier law firm and in-house experience
- Proven track record of leading complex commercial transactions, particularly in technology or strategic partnerships
- Deep understanding of product development and go-to-market strategies from a legal perspective
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and managing high-performing teams
