Job Summary
To support corporate legal initiatives, the full-time salaried State Licensed Assistant General Counsel will provide legal advice, manage compliance matters, and oversee outside counsel while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Participates in the development and implementation of corporate policies and provides ongoing legal counsel
- Researches and advises on regulatory and compliance matters related to group health plans and other services
- Prepares, reviews, and negotiates contracts and legal documents while identifying potential legal risks within the organization
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Juris Doctorate degree required
- Must have a license to practice law in good standing (PA, TX, UT, MT preferred)
- Minimum of four (4) years of legal experience in regulatory/compliance, healthcare, or corporate settings
- Knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and statutes (e.g., ACA, ERISA, HIPAA)
