Job Summary
Focusing on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, the full-time State Licensed Assistant General Counsel will serve as in-house legal counsel, managing corporate maintenance matters and advising stakeholders on legal risks and obligations in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts while managing legal risk and ensuring compliance with company standards
- Provide legal guidance on contract terms and obligations to internal stakeholders, translating complex legal concepts into practical business advice
- Oversee routine corporate maintenance tasks, including the preparation and maintenance of corporate records and resolutions
Required qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school with active membership in good standing of any U.S. state bar
- 5-7 years of legal experience, preferably in an in-house role focused on commercial contracting and corporate maintenance
- Knowledge of corporate law and the ability to draft contracts related to service and product delivery
- Experience with legal research platforms and regulatory databases
- Preferred: Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCM) certification
