Job Summary
To support the Commercial & Technology Legal team, the remote State Licensed Associate Counsel will focus on intellectual property transactions and open source governance, providing legal guidance to technology teams while ensuring compliance and protecting the company's IP.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide guidance on open source licensing, compliance, and contribution practices
- Negotiate research and data agreements with universities, covering IP ownership and publication rights
- Review external-facing materials for IP and confidentiality concerns before publication
Required qualifications:
- At least three years of experience as an attorney in technology transactions
- Working knowledge of copyright, trademark, and patent fundamentals
- Experience drafting and negotiating IP and licensing provisions
- Grounding in open source licensing and compliance
- Licensed attorney in good standing of the bar of at least one U.S. state or territory
