State Licensed Associate Director, Actuarial

Job Summary

To support complex supplemental product reserving projects for the individual market, the remote State Licensed Associate Director, Actuarial will apply actuarial analysis, programming, and data management expertise while managing stakeholder communications and overseeing staff in a full-time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial, analytical, and actuarial expertise for various supplemental product reserving projects
• Design and maintain financial, statistical, and actuarial databases and SQL servers
• Assist in the monthly close process and prepare reporting while updating reserve methods and assumptions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries)
• 3+ years of experience in health insurance reserve support or financial analytics
• Intermediate or higher proficiency in VBA programming in MS Excel and/or MS Access
• Experience with extracting data from large relational databases
