State Licensed Associate General Counsel

Job Summary

Providing legal guidance and contracting support, the remote State Licensed Associate General Counsel will draft and negotiate complex vendor and commercial contracts for the OptumInsight Growth team, ensuring compliance and consistency in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate high volumes of complex agreements, including SaaS, licensing, and professional services agreements
• Lead the vendor and customer contracting team while participating in process improvement initiatives
• Communicate risks and contract language effectively to various stakeholders and manage multiple contract priorities

Required qualifications:

• JD and bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state
• 7+ years of legal experience, specifically in contracting drafting and negotiation
• Solid transactional negotiation and drafting skills
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with leaders and team members
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving ability
