State Licensed Associate General Counsel

Job Summary

Providing legal advice and strategic support, the full-time State Licensed Associate General Counsel will focus on commercial health plan regulatory matters, including compliance with federal and state healthcare laws, while working remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a lead resource for commercial health plan regulatory matters and advise on relevant laws and regulations
• Research, analyze, and interpret complex healthcare regulatory requirements impacting commercial product lines
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, policies, and procedures while providing practical legal guidance for implementation

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) required with 5+ years of experience in corporate or health law
• 1+ years of experience with government contract law, health law, and managed care preferred
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid insurance, state insurance, and HMO regulations preferred
• Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills
• Bar Admission and currently in good standing preferred
