Job Summary
Providing legal counsel on employee benefits and executive compensation matters, the full-time remote State Licensed Associate General Counsel will advise various stakeholders on regulatory compliance, manage contracts, and support governance activities while ensuring adherence to applicable laws and risk management practices.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on employee benefit plans, executive compensation arrangements, and fiduciary governance matters
- Review and negotiate contracts related to benefit plans and support transactional attorneys with mergers and acquisitions
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments affecting employee benefits and advise on compliance obligations
Required qualifications
- Law license in good standing and admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school
- Ten years of relevant legal experience in employee benefits, executive compensation, or related regulatory fields
- Experience advising complex health systems or large multi-entity employers on benefit plan matters
- Eligibility for registration or admission as in-house counsel in applicable jurisdiction, if required
