State Licensed Associate Medical Director

Job Summary

To provide physician leadership and quality oversight, the full-time remote State Licensed Associate Medical Director will assist the Medical Director in managing Physician Reviewers, overseeing quality assurance programs, and rendering medical necessity case decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in providing leadership to Physician Reviewers and oversee their productivity and decision letter quality
• Monitor and direct the quality assurance program, serving as a liaison to Quality Managers for issue resolution
• Perform quality audits of physician reviews and develop reports to identify areas for improvement in the medical program

Required qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical school
• Active State license to practice medicine
• Board certification
• Seven years of clinical experience
• Three years in a medical managerial or leadership role
