State Licensed Associate Medical Director

Job Summary

Providing medical decision-making for Rehabilitation Services and other service lines, the part-time State Licensed Associate Medical Director will collaborate with clinical and operational leadership while offering virtual telehealth support and ensuring compliance with medical management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Make medical management UM decisions in accordance with state regulations and client requirements
• Oversee medical necessity reviews for various therapies and support utilization management activities
• Provide virtual telehealth medical support and maintain clinical licenses in required states

Required qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical college in the US and Board certified
• 5 years of clinical practice experience, with knowledge in musculoskeletal medicine or physical therapy
• Experience in Utilization Management (UM) and medical necessity review
• Previous experience as a medical director for a full-service medical health plan or insurance company preferred
• Current, unrestricted medical or osteopathic license in the United States, with the ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed
