Job Summary
Providing legal representation in administrative law judge (ALJ) hearings, the full-time State Licensed Attorney will review pre-adjudicated cases and collaborate with medical professionals while working remotely and requiring weekend and holiday availability.
Key responsibilities
- Participates in ALJ hearings as the company's attorney representative, collaborating with medical professionals and CMS contractors
- Reviews ALJ decisions and orders from OMHA and analyzes them for quality improvement
- Schedules and leads pre-hearing coordination meetings with Medicare contractors as necessary
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the state bar
- Three years of legal experience, preferably with Medicare claims
- Experience in Administrative or Judicial proceedings preferred
- Residency in the United States for a minimum of three years out of the last five years
