Job Summary

Providing legal representation in administrative law judge (ALJ) hearings, the full-time State Licensed Attorney will review pre-adjudicated cases and collaborate with medical professionals while working remotely and requiring weekend and holiday availability.

Key responsibilities

• Participates in ALJ hearings as the company's attorney representative, collaborating with medical professionals and CMS contractors
• Reviews ALJ decisions and orders from OMHA and analyzes them for quality improvement
• Schedules and leads pre-hearing coordination meetings with Medicare contractors as necessary

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the state bar
• Three years of legal experience, preferably with Medicare claims
• Experience in Administrative or Judicial proceedings preferred
• Residency in the United States for a minimum of three years out of the last five years
