Job Summary
To support a modern, tech-driven legal function, the remote State Licensed Attorney will provide legal advice on (re)insurance-related, corporate, and governance matters while collaborating across the organization to address legal and regulatory issues.
Key responsibilities
- Review and prepare various (re)insurance and vendor contracts, including regulatory filings and responses
- Research legal and regulatory issues related to distribution and product offerings, advising leadership on impacts
- Assist with governance matters and corporate structure, while supporting the operations of the Legal, Regulatory & Compliance function
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in at least one state
- Minimum of 7 years of legal experience, preferably in-house for an (re)insurance company or relevant law firm
- Strong knowledge of U.S. insurance laws and regulations
- Exceptional analytical abilities and agility in managing multiple priorities
