Job Summary

A company is looking for a Behavioral Health Medical Director - ABH.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for the utilization management team, focusing on high-risk cases and medical necessity decisions
• Facilitate comprehensive behavioral health care management to improve quality care and operational efficiency
• Participate in the appeals process and collaborate with behavioral health practitioners on complex patient cases

Required Qualifications

• Board Certification in Psychiatry
• Active and current state medical license without encumbrances
• MD or DO degree
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience as a psychiatrist
• Experience with managed care and care utilization review preferred
