Job Summary

Seeking a strategic, mission-driven attorney, the full-time State Licensed Campaign Counsel will evaluate legal rights and options for whistleblower clients, draft disclosures to various entities, and represent clients in administrative forums, primarily supporting the Democracy Protection Initiative and Immigration issue areas while working remotely with occasional presence in Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as primary client liaison and lead counsel for whistleblowers, managing communications and assessing client risks and goals
  • Analyze claims and develop legal strategies to represent whistleblowers before administrative bodies, including the U.S. Office of Special Counsel
  • Lead investigations, draft disclosures and retaliation complaints, and represent clients in administrative reviews and hearings
Required Qualifications:
  • J.D. required with a minimum of three years of experience in federal employment law or comparable administrative law
  • Active member in good standing of the bar of a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia
  • Exceptional written communication skills with a proven ability to produce high-quality professional work products
  • Demonstrated experience in advocacy campaigns or comparable leadership roles
  • Knowledge of and experience in immigration, good government, and/or democracy issues is a plus
