State Licensed Chief Medicaid Actuary

Job Summary

Driving company strategy, the full-time salaried State Licensed Chief Medicaid Actuary will manage actuarial expertise in rate negotiations with State Medicaid Departments, oversee rate filing and bid development, and provide strategic decision-making support to market leadership, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all actuarial aspects of rate filing and bid development, including filing strategy and compliance
• Evaluate the impact of long-range planning, new programs, and regulatory actions on the business
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to C-suite leadership regarding the company's direction

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Finance
• Minimum of ten years of experience in the Actuarial Industry, with at least five years in management
• Seven years of experience in healthcare actuarial functions, including Medicaid and rate negotiations
• Experience with managed care and state/federal government programs preferred
• Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) and Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA or FSA) required
