State Licensed Claim Specialist

Job Summary

Handling complex and high-exposure claims, the full-time State Licensed Claim Specialist will conduct investigations, determine coverage, and manage customer communications while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

Key responsibilities

• Perform timely claim tasks and document files to ensure fair resolution in accordance with legal requirements
• Make informed coverage decisions through thorough investigation and analysis of claims
• Negotiate settlements and manage claim expenses while collaborating with vendors and legal counsel as necessary

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum of five years of claim handling or insurance-related experience required
• Experience in General Liability and/or Professional Liability preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain state adjusting license and complete continuing education
• Completion of INS, AIC, or CPCU designations preferred
