Job Summary
Handling complex and higher exposure claims, the full-time State Licensed Claim Specialist will manage investigations, determine coverage, and maintain customer contact while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
Key responsibilities
- Perform timely claim tasks and document files to ensure fair resolution in accordance with legal standards
- Make informed coverage decisions and evaluate subrogation potential based on policy language and state laws
- Conduct thorough investigations, analyze potential exposure, and formulate action plans based on findings
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of five years of claim handling or insurance-related experience required
- Completion of INS, AIC, or CPCU is preferred
- Experience in General Liability and/or Professional Liability is preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain state adjusting license and complete continuing education requirements
