Job Summary

A company is looking for a Claims & Coverage Counsel - In-House.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel on complex claims and litigation, including risk mitigation and litigation strategy
• Draft legal opinions on coverage issues and analyze compliance with state-specific claims handling statutes
• Collaborate across teams to develop policy forms and coverage solutions, while mentoring others and leading special projects

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree (JD) from an ABA accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 7+ years of experience in P&C insurance law, particularly in personal lines liability litigation
• Experience managing multi-state litigation or providing coverage counsel for a national carrier
• Sound legal judgment with the ability to provide strategic legal advice to the business
• Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
