Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time State Licensed Claims Counsel will investigate and resolve title insurance claims, support Claims Management with managerial tasks, and direct litigation efforts while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct investigations of claims and develop strategies for resolution, focusing on complex legal issues
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and oversee litigation processes as necessary
- Draft agreements, training materials, and provide educational presentations for staff and stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate Degree
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one U.S. state
- Minimum five years' experience in title insurance claims administration or real estate law
- Ability to analyze and interpret legal documents and present findings effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic mathematical skills
