Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of medical records to ensure accurate documentation of conditions and procedures
  • Educate and query providers to enhance diagnostic specificity and ensure proper coding
  • Maintain accurate records of review and query activities within the CDI software system
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Five years of experience as an RN or two years as a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist
  • Understanding of risk-adjusted payment methodologies and professional coding
  • Experience with ICD10-CM, CPT, HCC, and HCPCS coding is preferred
