Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist, REMOTE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the quality, completeness, and accuracy of clinical documentation through extensive record review and education
  • Communicate with and educate healthcare providers regarding clinical documentation standards and monitor engagement
  • Conduct concurrent reviews of patient health records and accurately code relevant diagnoses while resolving discrepancies
Required Qualifications
  • Associate/Diploma Degree in Nursing or Health Information Technology, or an advanced degree in a medical field
  • Current Registered Nurse License, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or licensure as a PA/NP/APN required
  • Two years of experience in Critical Care, Medical or Surgical Inpatient Care Nursing, or inpatient coding preferred
  • Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Documentation Improvement Professional (CDIP) preferred
  • Proficient with computer systems and software for data entry and documentation purposes
