Job Summary

A company is looking for a Pharmacist I, Clinical Prior Authorization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and provide input to clinical programs including Health Management and Drug Utilization Review
• Participate in the Coverage Determination process by reviewing requests and making coverage denial determinations
• Monitor the quality and efficiency of the Coverage Determination process and provide clinical expertise related to formulary decisions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D, with current unrestricted licensure as an RPh
• Two years of work experience in a clinical setting or a clinical/managed care pharmacy practice residency preferred
• Knowledge of PBM industry and formulary management principles desired
• Exceptional clinical skills and ability to apply sound clinical judgment
• Proficiency in drug literature evaluation and electronic databases preferred
