State Licensed Clinical Pharmacist

Job Summary

To support a fast-paced Prior Authorization unit, the part-time contract State Licensed Clinical Pharmacist will review cases, consult with healthcare providers, and make coverage determinations while working remotely for a Fortune 100 organization.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with physicians/providers to interpret clinical guidelines and render coverage determinations for prior authorization cases
• Advise pharmacy technicians and physicians on medication use and formulary alternatives as needed
• Gather complex clinical and policy information to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines in making coverage decisions

Required qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience as a pharmacist in a retail or clinical setting
• Doctorate degree in pharmacy
• Must be licensed in the state of residence
• Availability to work early mornings to late nights, including weekends
• Proficient in using PCs and navigating multiple systems and screens
