Job Summary
Defining and developing standard and custom formularies, the full-time salaried Clinical Formulary Pharmacist will analyze drug use trends, coordinate medication analysis, and provide clinical guidance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop drug product review and formulary recommendations based on drug use trends and primary literature
- Analyze pharmacy cost of care and coordinate the development of appropriate use protocols and guidelines
- Set criteria for medication analysis and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements for drug utilization review
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (PharmD, MS) in pharmacy
- Current, valid, and unrestricted state's Pharmacist license
- 3+ years of combined managed care pharmacy or pharmacy residency program experience
- Experience supporting Prior Authorization processes, preferably within Medical Pharmacy
- Strong background working with Decision Trees and proficiency in Visio, Excel, and Word
