Job Summary
To support prior authorization processes, the full-time remote State Licensed Clinical Pharmacist will conduct clinical reviews of medical data for specialty medications, manage inbound calls regarding authorization requests, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to communicate case decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct clinical assessments and reviews of prior authorization requests for specialty medications
- Communicate case decisions to physicians, health plans, and patients following established management processes
- Handle inbound calls and escalations related to prior authorization requests from healthcare providers and patients
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
- Active pharmacist license in the state of residence in good standing
- 2+ years of clinical experience with specialty medications or prior authorization requests
- At least two years of experience as a pharmacist with prior authorization
- Proficiency in MS Office and other Windows-based applications
