Key Responsibilities

Evaluates and authorizes prior authorization pharmacy requests from prescribers
Communicates prior authorization criteria and pharmacy benefit coverage to relevant parties
Monitors staffing levels and serves as a training resource for team members

Required Qualifications

GED or High School diploma
Active pharmacy technician licensure or registration as per state requirements
2+ years of pharmacy experience
In-depth knowledge of specialty injectable prescription drugs and medical terminology
Proficiency in pharmacy computerized systems and MS Office applications
