Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluates and authorizes prior authorization pharmacy requests from prescribers
• Communicates prior authorization criteria and pharmacy benefit coverage to relevant parties
• Serves as a mentor and training resource for team members

Required Qualifications

• GED or High School diploma
• Active pharmacy technician licensure or registration as per state requirements
• 2+ years of relevant work experience
• In-depth knowledge of specialty injectable prescription drugs and medical terminology
• Proficiency in pharmacy computerized systems and MS Office
