State Licensed Clinical Programs Director

Job Summary

Leading high-impact clinical programs, the full-time remote Senior Director of Clinical Programs will drive strategic initiatives, manage a team of clinical program managers, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance rare disease diagnostics and precision medicine.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and execution of evidence generation strategies for clinical programs in collaboration with various internal teams
• Lead and oversee clinical research projects, ensuring alignment with evidence generation strategies and managing a team of clinical program managers
• Establish and manage collaborations with academic institutions and external partners to drive research projects aligned with clinical objectives

Required qualifications

• PhD, MD, or equivalent with board certification by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (or equivalent) required
• 10+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory or industry role as a board certified ABMGG fellow required
• 5+ years of experience in a medical affairs or clinical development role required
• 5+ years of experience leading research efforts related to molecular diagnostics in rare diseases required
• Strong publication record and expertise in clinical genetics related to rare diseases
