State Licensed Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Auditor to perform audits of claims to ensure accuracy in coding and billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Audits specified number of records per coder as defined in the system coding audit plan
• Prepares audit reports for key stakeholders and develops corrective action plans for improvement
• Identifies trends, prepares educational programs related to coding, and assists in managing the auditing program

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3 years of relevant experience
• Certifications such as CCA, CCS-P, COC, CPC, RHIA, or RHIT
