State Licensed Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

Supervising a remote team of edit coders, the full-time State Licensed Coding Supervisor will manage performance and daily activities of up to 25 employees while ensuring coding quality and compliance with healthcare standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supervising a remote team, monitoring performance, attendance, and productivity
• Coordinate onboarding processes and provide guidance to coding staff
• Perform auditing functions and troubleshoot processes in collaboration with Billing Managers

Required qualifications

• High School degree/GED
• Current Professional Coding Certification (CCS, CIC, COC, or CPC)
• 5+ years of experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding
• 3+ years of management experience with remote employees
• 3+ years of experience in a level I trauma center or teaching hospital
