State Licensed Collateral Appraiser
Job Summary
To support appraisal operations, the fully remote State Licensed Collateral Appraiser will order, track, and manage residential property appraisals while ensuring compliance with industry standards and communicating with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Order and manage residential property appraisals through approved AMCs, ensuring timely completion
- Review appraisal reports for accuracy and compliance with USPAP, AIR, and investor requirements
- Evaluate collateral for Non-QM loan products and document findings, escalating valuation risks as necessary
Required qualifications
- Active state-licensed or state-certified residential appraiser license in good standing
- 3+ years of experience in residential real estate appraisal or mortgage collateral review
- Experience evaluating investment properties and complex residential properties
- Familiarity with appraisal platforms and LOS systems such as Encompass or Lending QB
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills
