State Licensed Commercial Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Counsel to lead complex commercial negotiations and advise on legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Structure, negotiate, and close various commercial agreements, vendor contracts, and NDAs
• Support internal process improvements and create legal resources to enhance contracting processes
• Advise stakeholders on contracting matters and collaborate with cross-functional teams on commercial initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and member in good standing of the State Bar or the District of Columbia
• 5+ years of experience in-house and/or in law firms, preferably with professional services or tech companies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• A low-ego, high-empathy orientation towards colleagues and partners
• A proactive "doer" attitude willing to contribute as needed
