State Licensed Commercial Counsel
Job Summary
Providing legal guidance on commercial and transactional matters, the fully remote Commercial Counsel will draft, review, and negotiate various agreements while managing contract documentation and compliance over a 6 to 12-month assignment.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including sales, reseller, and SaaS agreements
- Support technology-related contracts and prepare responses to state and local government RFPs
- Develop negotiation strategies and provide legal recommendations to internal business partners
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree required
- 4+ years of experience in corporate transactional law and contract negotiation
- Active admission to the Bar in at least one US state
- Experience with technology-related legal matters, including software licensing and government contracts
- Familiarity with reviewing and responding to government RFPs
