Job Summary
Providing practical legal and regulatory guidance, the full-time remote State Licensed Compliance Attorney will support mortgage origination and servicing operations, ensuring adherence to federal and state consumer protection laws while collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day legal advice on mortgage regulatory compliance and operational matters
- Interpret and apply federal and state laws, advising on the implementation of regulatory changes and risk mitigation strategies
- Support the Compliance Management System by advising on policies, procedures, and compliance risk assessments
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license and good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
- 3+ years of experience in mortgage, financial services, or regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal consumer financial laws (TILA, RESPA, ECOA, FCRA, FDCPA, TCPA)
- Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills
