Job Summary
Supporting the implementation of a Compliance program, the full-time State Licensed Compliance Counsel will conduct legal research, assist in contract reviews, and develop compliance policies while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Compliance Department in implementing the company's Compliance program and provide legal research on applicable laws
- Conduct contract reviews, draft legal documents, and escalate compliance concerns to the General Counsel
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of compliance trends and contribute to risk management strategies
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in health insurance compliance
- Law License in at least one state
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA and TCPA regulations
- Healthcare Compliance or Privacy Certifications are a plus
