State Licensed Cytogenetics Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Cytogenetics Analyst to join their team remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of chromosomes, including imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens
• Summarize and report test results accurately and timely, distinguishing between normal and abnormal results
• Review test requisitions and document troubleshooting actions as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 4 years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience
• 1 year or more of experience in Oncology Cytogenetics (preferred)
• Certified by the National Credentialing Agency (NCA) in Cytogenetics or ASCP Certification in Cytogenetics
• Experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads via computerized images
