State Licensed Cytogenetics Analyst

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the remote full-time State Licensed Cytogenetics Analyst will perform FISH analysis, cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads, and review test requisitions while working Tuesday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Perform FISH analysis and cytogenetic analysis of computerized images
• Summarize test results using ISCN nomenclature and distinguish between normal and abnormal results
• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment and report accurate test results to ensure quality patient care

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP CG)
• At least 1 year of experience in FISH and Chromosomes for Oncology Cytogenetics
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Proficient with computers and familiarity with laboratory information systems
