State Licensed Cytogenetics Analyst
Job Summary
To support a growing team, the remote State Licensed Cytogenetics Analyst will perform FISH analysis and cytogenetic evaluations while ensuring accurate reporting of test results in a full-time capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Perform FISH analysis and cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads using computerized images
- Review test requisitions and summarize test results utilizing ISCN nomenclature
- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment and software to ensure proper functionality and report findings to supervisors
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP CG)
- At least 1 year of experience in FISH and Chromosomes for Oncology Cytogenetics
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Proficiency with computers and familiarity with laboratory information systems
