State Licensed Dental Assistant

Job Summary

To provide instructional support in a virtual environment, the part-time hourly State Licensed Dental Assistant Adjunct will evaluate student exams, answer program-related questions, and participate in accreditation efforts while ensuring timely communication with students.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate subjective exams and provide constructive feedback to students based on established grading criteria
• Respond to student inquiries via email and scheduled phone appointments, ensuring timely communication
• Participate in accreditation processes and special grading projects as needed

Required qualifications

• Completion of a dental assistant training program; an associate's degree is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant
• Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) is required
• Previous teaching experience, preferably in an online format, is preferred
• Excellent computer skills and access to high-speed internet with a personal PC/MAC
