State Licensed Deputy General Counsel

Job Summary

Leading the legal operations in a full-time remote capacity, the State Licensed Deputy General Counsel will oversee the effective delivery of legal services, manage mergers and acquisitions, and provide litigation oversight while driving business growth through strategic legal guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day operations of the Legal Department, ensuring efficient and business-aligned service delivery
• Oversee mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions, including due diligence and execution
• Manage litigation, claims, and dispute strategies, including risk assessment and outside counsel management

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with active admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 12+ years of progressive legal experience, including significant in-house leadership experience
• Demonstrated experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, and litigation oversight
• Experience managing cross-functional legal risks in a global organization
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior business leaders
