Job Summary
Seeking a skilled State Licensed DRG Validator, the full-time remote position will focus on DRG validation, inpatient auditing, and complex inpatient coding while ensuring high-quality coding services for clients.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct DRG validation and inpatient audits to ensure compliance with coding guidelines
- Identify coding opportunities and provide clear audit findings to improve accuracy
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain documentation requirements and reimbursement methodologies
Required qualifications
- Active AHIMA or AAPC coding certification required
- CCS certification required; CDIP and/or CCDS certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of recent APR-DRG/DRG coding experience in a Level II Trauma Center or higher
- Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient auditing experience in a Level II Trauma Center or higher
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding guidelines and MS-DRG/APR-DRG assignment
